The primer flash cards include the following sight words:Īll, am, are, at, ate, be, black, brown, but, came, did, do, eat, four, get, good, have, he, into, like, must, new, no, now, on, our, out, please, pretty, ran, ride, saw, say, she, so, soon, that, there, they, this, too, under, want, was, well, went, what, white, who, will, with, yes. Words like at, do, the, has, and got are examples of sight words or high-frequency words. They are also phonetically irregular and cant be sounded out. These words appear frequently in printed text and are often the base of larger words. Sight words, or High-Frequency Words, are words that your Kindergartener should be able to recognize by sight while learning to read.
